The instructions said we should place the fibreglass tape over the filleted glue lines while the glue was still soft. We tried this in one small section, but it was a bit messy, as you can see here, so we decided to let the glue dry and do the fibreglassing as a seperate step.
The work in progress needed a little tidying up, but as I'm only 5 dad thought perhaps he should do the sanding. (Basically he's too lazy to do it by hand and didn't want me using an orbital sander) . He sanded the center web flush with the gunwales, sanded the transom, and generally tidied her up a bit in preparation for fibreglassing.
Oh daddy, where's your sense of adventure, surely 5 is old enough for an orbital sander.....well ok, maybe in a few more years
